There was a time when a professional golfer thought he might never play again, let alone win a tournament. In Hawaii on Sunday, he celebrated his second triumph in less than a year. A stunning birdie in the penultimate hole fired the golfer to victory at The Sentry in Maui, with a final round score of eight-under 65. Perfect weather conditions resulted in exceptionally low scoring throughout the week, with all players shooting under-par. The winner’s purse was $3.6 million. This victory comes after the golfer took an indefinite leave to deal with personal issues, including alcohol abuse and depression.
